She’s So Right (It’s Wrong)

“She’s So Right (It’s Wrong)”

i saw her standing cross the aisle

oh she had class and she had style

the way she spoke i thought that she might change

but maybe i’m just in denial

why won’t my heart just let this be?

she doesn’t think the same as me

and any hope at all that she might change

was long ago in history

(i want to tell her that)

her eyes are enthralling

but her views are appalling

how can this be true?

her body’s appealing

her positions revealing

but her red state heart is making my state blue

i see her on the campaign trail

i couldn’t stand it if she failed

and yet i’m working harder every day

so her agenda won’t prevail

this indecision makes me sick

I need an answer now and quick

but all I want to do is wrap my arms

around her body politic

(i want to tell her)

the potential’s tremendous

but her party’s horrendous

oh why can’t we get along?

her ideas aren’t attractive

they’re radioactive

but if she’s so far right,

then how can this be wrong?

late night at committee mark-up

hoping something more might start up

baby you’re amendment’s flawless

won’t you come and join my caucus

so right

so wrong

how can this be true?

her body’s appealing

her positions revealing

but her red state heart is making my state blue

so blue… so blue…
